Science Tutoring
For high-school students in biology, chemistry, and related sciences
Why work with me
Harvard PhD in biological sciences, MD program training at UT Southwestern, and a decade of teaching and mentoring experience — including Science Mentor with HPREP (Health Professions Recruitment & Exposure Program) in Boston and Dallas.
I bring a perspective most science tutors don't: in high school I was a HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) Texas State Champion and placed 2nd at the national level (2007), so I've sat in the same chair as the students I now teach. I understand the competitive landscape of health-professions tracks from the inside, and I teach concepts the way I wish I'd been taught: by building real understanding, not memorizing tricks.
Who this is for
High-school students taking honors, AP, or IB courses in biology, chemistry, anatomy/physiology, or related sciences. Also helpful for students preparing for AP exams, SAT science topics, or competitive science programs and fairs.
